We were asked to get there at 8.00pm - I hate eating late, Gladys is not a lover of it either
Mitch and us were there at the same time, 8.00pm. So we got some wine and beer and sat outside and waited - and waited - and waited.
Antonia was the first to turn up - at 8.30, then a couple of other people, they got a beer and sat with us. Then Dimas, who had organised it, arrived, and his mum and brother arrived, along with nephew (the mayor, Marcello) at 9.00
The tables were laid out for 12 - there were 19 of us but that got sorted. Out came the wine and the food.
Bluddy amazing, brilliant, nothing better have I eaten.
We had the normal chips, rice and salad and even that was good, but the rabbit, sorry, hare was just scrummy - we all had seconds or thirds and the javali ( wild boar) was bony but gert lush.
But eating that late is not something I'm good at, shame, as it was so lovey.
And although we wanted to pay Mario and Dimas, they wouldn't let us.
Their treat, along with all the win, madronia, coffee
Mario shot and cut up the boar and the hares.
We left at 11.00 and then came home to sit outside for a couple of hours, as it was lovely and cool - 26C
And let the dinner go down
