You Brexiters are ever so intelligent in your postings and we Remainers are complete idiots. Everything you say is Gospel and all will be well in the sunny uplands with gambolling Unicorns and Mermaids bathing in pristine inshore waters.

And if life turns out differently will you take ownership?

Not a chance! Remainers will be blamed for for the disaster. You Brexit cowards will run away: it's in your genes.

Yes! :D :D As an outsider looking in, it seems to me that the UK never really bought into the European thing, did it? Never fully went metric, spurned the Euro, happy to take the European money though.....because Europe is full of foreigners, isn't it, and their passports are a different colour. Does anyone really believe that come March 30th 2019, a magic wand will have been waved and all will return to being English again because.....(again I speak as an outsider) let's face it, those pesky Scots, Welsh and Irish are just troublemakers, aren't they, it's about being English (with the exception of Suff ;) ) as epitomised by Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees Mogg.

Osc, I had a vote and used it, so I am a player.

Others had a vote and did not use it.
Had I voted, remember I didn't even though I did have a vote,

They still want a say though, Funny old world, isn't it? ;)

Very true.

Not at all true. The UK is a net contributor to the EU and always has been (except for one year) ever since we joined. This myth that we "get EU money" is an enduring one though.

Anyway, we seem to be generating more heat than light now.

Once again I agree with you Cromwell.

I voted 40 years ago to join the common market. If I remember correctly there were five or six nations in the group. It seemed a good idea at the time but its scope has changed drastically over the ensuing years from the trading arrangement it purported to be.

This time I voted to leave and hopefully I have made the correct decision this time.

My one regret is that our nation is so divided. I believe fervently in the UK and long may we continue to be united.

You forget to mention, Cromwell, that one year was a "Technical" net gain. It was such a small amount of money that it was virtually not worth mentioning. Unlike the 14 billion they came after us for because they changed the rules and we didn't apply the changes fully. Or about all that "funding" our Universities get. Funding We have to pay the bulk of until our "rebate" is used up.

So many benefits, so much money to be had. By everyone but the UK.

The press and the the remain camp just love to forget all of that. They also just love to forget that Cameron went to the EU and begged them to give Leavers a reason not to vote to leave.

Anyone care to remember the answer? Get lost sonny the EU is bigger than the UK and you don't get to change the rules. You WILL accept free movement of people and you WILL continue to pay for it

I remember the answer of the people of the UK too. NO WE WON'T, WE WILL LEAVE INSTEAD.

These so called negotiations have ripped the half healed scab off those wounds and it takes more than 2 years for people to forget the attitude and why they voted the way they did.

Oh I didn't use it because I'm not like all those English who moved to France for cheap houses and cheap food and a warmer climate. All those people who don't give a crap about the UK or the economy of the UK so long as nothing changes for them.

I believed that you had a right to determine your own fate and if I chose to come home then I came home to what you had chosen for yourselves.

What a fool I am! But that is just me. Even though I did not vote, it did not change the outcome, it just lacked 2 more Leave votes from me and Mrs S.

However I reserve the right to comment on it, point out the unicorns and fairies of the Remain stance and, generally, state things as I see them.

The UK is leaving the EU, we are never going back because we will never accept the Euro and the ongoing Italian fiasco just highlights that. As for Schengen? It was never going to happen before the illegal migrant crisis, it is even less likely to happen now.

It is time for Remain to get over it and stop p1ssing on the UK instead of the self satisfied pluto rats of the EU.

Not at all...

It's all fairly moot though. This will carry on until someone gets more scared of one thing than another. Then it will stop.

I hear that France is offering a 10 year "right to remain", one form, fill it out, done. I haven't checked into it yet though. But it tells you the difference between the number of French in the UK and the number of UK in France. It would appear that whilst posturing, bleating about no changes, etc, etc, France is quietly making sure French citizens will not suddenly be ejected by the UK, simply by making sure they don't do that to the UK citizens in France.

Germany is also offering dual nationality, but you have to do it before March 29th or you wind up as a German. I know as a Friend has already done it.

Amazing the things you don't hear in the press, compared to what you do.
