Bread or baps?

Postby TheOstrich » 18 Dec 2018, 14:10

So a minor pre-Christmas spat arises in the Ostrich household over what's preferable with the Boxing Day ham. :x

Mrs O favours soft white baps, whilst Ossie prefers a proper sandwich with proper brown granary bread. The temperature was rising  - how to resolve the dispute? Only one way ….

Rock, Paper, Scissors …..  :D

2-0 to Mrs O. :(

Baps it is,then. Off to buy the piccalilli …..

Cobs!

You do realise you’re now going to start the age-old debate of cob/roll/bap/bun/barm/etc???

For what it’s worth, I’m with Mrs O here; it’s got to be a nice soft roll or a crusty cob.

With Saundra on this one - crispy white bread rolls; I love the small ready bake ones

Whoa, hang on, that's two choices....

Has to be warmed oven-bottoms slathered with salted butter, slap on the ham and a dollop of sweet pickle and Bob's yer lobster.

Ossie, I think I see a solution to your problem... that is if Mrs O is open to negotiation. Image
