No frost here Jo, but it's very dark and cold Typical January weather Sainsbury's shopping today with D, we're a bit low on the basics so the timing is just right Pilates tonight, after a three week break
Thinking of my mom today; it's my aunt's funeral and it's not going to be an easy day for anyone. My brother Frank will be there as well representing us kids which I'm pleased about.
Kaz, once it was light I noticed that the frost was only on the common. There's nothing on the walk around to there but it was too dark to see on the way out
Ria, I'm doing my best to use less plastic this year too. I try to drink plenty of water but our tap water here isn't very nice so I tend to drink sparkling water instead which means buying bottles but I've now got a Soda Stream so haven't bought any bottled water for home since getting it in November. I'm going to invest in a chiller bottle for when I'm out and about too so that I can take some with me rather than buy bottles when out. I hope the funeral goes as well as it can xx
Another thing I need to do today is push the rubbish down in the recycling bin! Our council are usually really good over Christmas and do weekly collections of each bin rather than fortnightly but for some reason this year they've emptied the household bin weekly over the last three weeks but not the recycling bin! It was last done on Dec 20th and won't be emptied again until next Tuesday, the 8th.
Kaz, hopefully your Sainsbury's will be as quiet as the one in Stafford yesterday!
Thanks everyone. Yes, Lee is a bit better. He still looks like death warmed up but he does feel better. Both he and our daughter have now got what Gal has had, that awful cold that gets on your chest and you can't shift. Sergio across the road has had it for six weeks! All of them at some point have had to sleep in a chair because they couldn't sleep lying down. I've never known a winter when so many people have fallen ill.
Today is pretty free. MrsC is going over to her dads, we'll see after that. Grey and a bit chilly here.
Have a good day all.

Morning all dry here just put the slow cooker on for a casserole must get the garden tidy today jo I have a chilli bottle and brought one for eldest and dil as part of there xmas gift got them of eBay I like mine but have to say they are a bit cumbersome to carry round ok if you can put it in a bag tho hope everyone has a good day by for now
The water here is very hard and I was buying lots of bottled water, but we've managed to cut down on plastic quite considerably by investing in a Brita tap when the new kitchen was installed. I now only buy the odd bottle if I'm driving a distance and might need a drink.
We've been very lazy again, not long had brekkie. Back to normal and the weekly shopping trip to M&S and then Tesco. Don't need a great deal, but we're completely out of fruit and veggies so need to stock up again.
