Ah, right. I was scrolling through the program listings on the TV when one caught my eye and brought me up short. When I looked properly the program wasn't as I initially thought The lost Alsatians but The last Alaskans.

The Lost Alsatians? Paul O'Grady does that one, doesn't he? :D

Voting papers arrived today - so it's crunch decision time.
Do I send it back with an extremely rude message on  , or do I merely shred it?

Such is UK politics today .....

By law, we have to be told how much they're offering, in case we want to match it. Erm, no ta, I'm happy where I am.

Heard an interesting rumour yesterday. The local asian taxi drivers have been allegedly overcharged for their taxi licences by our local council, going back years.
This is supposedly why the councillor leading the majority party on the council suddenly bailed out a couple of months since, to take a job heading up Welcome to Yorkshire, an organisation with financial mismanagement problems in the recent past.
He should fit right in!
We are talking about being overcharged in the hundreds of thousands, if not more.
