Jonathan Ashworth as shadow health secretary is OK, he keeps Hancock on his toes
Rachel Reeves as shadow chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster is a clever move. It is a sort of minister without portfolio role, which puts her at the heart of the shadow cabinet yet leaves her free to continue the excellent work she does in HoC committees.
Angela Rayner as chair of the Labour Party is also a smart move. She will put the frighteners on the anti-Semites going by her low opinion of them in the past.
Gardiner and Lavery have gone, so no loss there, and no news on the rest as yet.
