Morning Ally, morning all

Warm and sunny - we can only dream of that here. It's cold and overcast and windy again; lows of 1 degrees tonight so I'll be covering up the spuds again; sigh. I have a list of things to do today (in between monitoring emails and working) and one of them is hanging up the washing. But it's just a tad nippy out there still so I may wait an hour or so. It'd rather air dry vs tumble if I can. The rest of the list is general pootling inside and out (not sure about outside though - brrr)

Hope Pepper got her meds and is starting to feel better.

Off to Ourique later, for food and mask shopping. Even with a mask, I'm not letting Grumpy into Pingo, it's still a bit of a free for all in there. Alentejana is okay. They only let 8 people in at a time, but Pingo……

Might get some weeding in when we get back. Had a wander around the garden yesterday, planning and deciding where and what to cut back, move etc and neither of us could resist just pulling up some weeds Huge lump of soil underneath though

Chilly here too but Ria - it will warm up for the weekend! 22c forecast. I hope Pepper improves Kaz, also Gal's puss cat.
I had a bit of a dip last night, wondering if and when this will ever end. But hey ho, on we go.
Same old same old here. I was going to paint a fence panel today but there's no chance whilst it is so cold.
Salmon tonight for tea. Must remember to phone our Steve up (brother) to see how he is getting on.

Crommers, I'm feeling a bit that way today, especially as the Home Secretary said this morning on GMB that social distancing is here to stay. That kind of shook me a bit ((x)

Got back just before the heavens opened No beer Well, there was, but at the normal price and no way am I paying that. So got two boxes of wine, instead of one

Still no vinegar, so as soon as the weather settles down, I'll be out pulling them up

Good afternoon (just!)! Overcast and coldish at the moment - we have a washing load flapping on the line but we need to keep an eye open that we don't get a shower.

Phoned the solar heating people and they seemed to recognize the problem as described, so I'll email them fuller details and they'll arrange a visit. We can "socially distance" inside the house when they come, they can access the controls in the airing cupboard and the loft ladder via the back door. As for our ongoing interior house painting saga, the lady painter is scheduled to come back for a couple of weeks at the start of June, and if she's willing, we'll be happy to have her to keep things moving.

I'm contemplating a visit today or tomorrow to the smaller of the two garden centres which are re-opening today - this one is run by a disability charity and per their website they do seem to have things sorted:

Wait in your car in the carpark until summoned by a steward
Only one person per car
Only 15 customers on site at any time
No visit more than 30 minutes
Pay contactless or card, no cash, and above all-
Come knowing what you want, no browsing.

Well that suits me, it'll be in and out for 4 Growbags. Master O gave me a tomato "Growbar" for Christmas, I got it underway this week, and if the seeds in the wretched thing germinate (it's coconut fibre), I'll finish up with 12 cherry tomato plants! We'll see!

Glad Peps is looking better, Kaz. Hope Crommers and yourself are also feeling better.

No dear ossie isent life complicated even to go to a garden centre well I can't go because I only pay cash
Im,sure if the government keep saying the over 70have to stay home there will be a mass break out we can't live like this for ever it's bad for our wellbeing and mental health that's my opinion and people will get scared to go out

Glad peps is looking better this morning.
Our garden centre is just a 5min walk from us but we won't be going until we hear how it's being managed.

We didn't get any weeding done yesterday so will see how the weather turns out and maybe get out there later this afternoon.
