Afternoon all, it is bright and breezy here - I haven’t been out yet but Edward was out practising golf on a nearby green space. https://www.tripadvisor.ie/Attraction_R ... ublin.html I’ve done my gym exercises, made a batch of soup and we have done our online grocery list for tomorrow’s delivery. I’ll do a bit of ironing in a while.

Today I received three lovely cloth masks in the post, from someone I’ve only met once, to wear going for my radiotherapy from next week. Aren’t people kind. This woman is making them from donated fabric, sending them all over the country and not charging, although you can donate for postage if you like (I did).

Oh thanks for asking Crommers - he seems a lot better thank you, doing those cute little chirrups at me when I got up, and running down to be fed - still sleepy in the day but less so than yesterday :) Glad you seem to have caught Pepper's problem before it got worse Kaz! xx

It IS horrible to think SD will be around for good. Was just texting my Aqua friend Anne yesterday and she said the same, we may never get to do another aqua class :( but worse, we won't be able to see one another for ages! Although PERHAPS if the cafes re-open for outdoor drinks, we can meet up then....at a distance of course :( Sobering.

It's bright here and cool. We've both been busy in the garden, since our garden refuse has FINALLY been collected and the bin is empty again, we can prune and cut back to our hearts' delight - so we did! Tom went to borrow a longer hedge trimmer as ours is a regular length but the conifers are tall....we filled the bin again  :D Other than that - not a lot. I cleaned my back door well and painted the threshold, rather the inside skirting bit...and that's all. I've been crosswording and reading since - and I've managed to get a click and collect for Tuesday at our nearby Asda!! :D :D :D Taken ages as it's a while since I have been on the site, but yayyyy!!! :D :D

Saundra that's awful - I really don't think people should be allowed to go to the coast. I know we love it and have missed it terribly but I'm certainly not going to go, not for a long while. A friend of mine who lives in Weardale (beautiful countryside) has been on FB saying there were 25 cars passed her on the way to Tunstall Reservoir, which is a beauty spot near her, she's been walking there most days as part of her daily exercise, in total solitude - until today.   It's not right.

Hugs for those feeling down - it's only natural as things change so much, but nasty all the same (((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))

In contrast, Saundra, here in Dorset the County Council are keeping all car parks at holiday destinations firmly closed, and all the loos locked, to deter tourists from coming. This has sparked a furious response on the Council's website  ; interestingly about half are in favour and half against. One stallholder at Lyme Regis sea front said that if they were deliberately turning tourists away, why should they continue to charge him full rent for his kiosk - a good point. What is going to be interesting is Saturday when the hordes (none of whom will have looked on the DCC website) arrive from London and the Home Counties and there's nowhere for them to park up …..

In contrast, those renegade upstarts BCP (Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council  ) have re-opened all their carparks, and apocryphal reports from Poole say that the Baiter Car Park is already full to the brim of wannabe jet-skiers waiting to take to the waters in Poole Bay!

Truely the Government have made a stonking mess of this!
