Good afternoon! Wispy white clouds in the sky and pretty hot here; we could certainly do with some rain.
Washing load out on the line early. I then decided to bite the bullet and weigh myself - no disputing now I've put on half a stone, so a bit of a dilemma over whether to continue with the home baking, to ration the cakes to one a day (rather than two), or to go on the cabbage soup diet, which I would normally be starting at this time of year in anticipation of the upcoming "MOT" at the surgery. I am keeping my fingers crossed they won't bother this year, but if they do, I have my excuses marshalled, even down to "Because of the lockdown I can't get to the hairdressers, so obviously that accounts for most of the weight gain …"
A house in our road has just sold within a week on going onto the market; the asking price of £399.5K was top end for the area, so maybe there is a boyant housing market out there. I've just been up the local store / Post Office to get a couple of parcels on the way - it was as quiet as the grave and I hardly saw anyone on the walk there and back. Although I did pass the same couple twice, once going up and again on the return journey, and as usual, I employed my own patent brand of social distancing which involves the sounding of fog horns and a VERY wide berth, at least 50 feet. Taking the mickey? Moi? Anyway, I do not think they were in any way amused, they completely ignored me (unusual for these parts) so I wrote them off as incomers!
Hope the treatment went OK, Osc, and good on you, Crommers, for keeping an eye on your neighbour.
Have a nice day, all.
