Good afternoon! Wispy white clouds in the sky and pretty hot here; we could certainly do with some rain.

Washing load out on the line early. I then decided to bite the bullet and weigh myself - no disputing now I've put on half a stone, so a bit of a dilemma over whether to continue with the home baking, to ration the cakes to one a day (rather than two), or to go on the cabbage soup diet, which I would normally be starting at this time of year in anticipation of the upcoming "MOT" at the surgery. I am keeping my fingers crossed they won't bother this year, but if they do, I have my excuses marshalled, even down to "Because of the lockdown I can't get to the hairdressers, so obviously that accounts for most of the weight gain …"

A house in our road has just sold within a week on going onto the market; the asking price of £399.5K was top end for the area, so maybe there is a boyant housing market out there. I've just been up the local store / Post Office to get a couple of parcels on the way - it was as quiet as the grave and I hardly saw anyone on the walk there and back. Although I did pass the same couple twice, once going up and again on the return journey, and as usual, I employed my own patent brand of social distancing which involves the sounding of fog horns and a VERY wide berth, at least 50 feet. Taking the mickey? Moi? :cute: Anyway, I do not think they were in any way amused, they completely ignored me (unusual for these parts) so I wrote them off as incomers!

Hope the treatment went OK, Osc, and good on you, Crommers, for keeping an eye on your neighbour.
Have a nice day, all.

Father in law is not too bad. The carer said he was just sitting in his chair with blood all over his face as though nothing had happened, and he couldn't remember what had happened.
David lives with his wife, but she is a bit fierce. They are both proud and don't like anybody knowing their business. Although they are interested in everybody else's!
I've taken Mrsc to the bank to get some details sorted out for her dad and dropped some shopping off at her rellies in Streethouse. That's it for today I think.
It is absolutely beautiful out there now, very sunny and warm. Sergio has made us some bruschetta topping for tonight.
Sister in law is still with father in law waiting for the district nurse. We are going to have to see about getting father in law into a care home I think. It's not so bad when both Mrsc and her sis are at home, but when her sis goes back to work it will all fall on MrsC and the way that it's going, that's not doable. A complication is that right now we don't think that the care homes around here are taking new people in.

Good afternoon,

Up early to go and have a blood sample taken. Got to the clinic before 7.00 a.m. Was first in he queue waiting for the doors to open to get into the building.
When I have been before the car park is full and there would be over 30 in he queue.
This morning there were onl four cars on thecar park when it opened. In the waiting area there were Large signs on the seats which w could use.
Probably the other clinics which use rooms in the rest of the building were not open.
Back home after breakfast, mowed the lawn. Only second time this year. After lunch paited part of the fence. Used up all the paint which I had left.
Mrs.e was sat in a chair getting the sun while I was working.
This evening going to ASDA for peppermint cordial and some other drinks.
The sun is still shining and it is vey hot outside.
Have a good evening

What a worry for you all Crommers :(

John’s been to the office today, he took Joe with him and between the two of them they’ve totally rearranged it to allow for social distancing. It fell to John because he’s one of only a couple who haven’t been furloughed and he’s local. He said it was nice to get out though, and they had to drive to Wolverhampton to drop some drawings through a factory letterbox on the way home. He said it was a nice drive, which led to me saying that I’d also enjoyed the drive to Wolverhampton when he had to take some drawings a few weeks ago and I went with him. That was quite a surreal conversation, and one we wouldn’t have had a few months ago
