Good afternoon, folks!

Confirmation received that the solar panel people will come next week and hopefully give it a good kicking :D. After lunch, Mrs O's first shopping excursion since probably the start of March! We went down to Waitrose and mercifully it was very quiet. She was able to get the cosmetics she wanted, and also replenish our stock of birthday cards as, like you, Jen, she had stocked up back in the January sales and we have now run out! I went round separately and topped up the quartermaster's stores with teabags, lentils, and the like. No chocolate after yesterday's weigh-in; Mrs O has similarly been "embarrassed" by the increase - understandable really as we are not getting anything like the exercise in lockdown, and we're both gronffing too much, especially during the evening TV. At the checkout, the guy before me suddenly decided he wanted a paper, so of course he walked straight past me twice to get to the rack and return.
I resisted the very strong temptation to shout "Tit!" at him; I have vowed to reserve the use of that epithet for BBC news-broadcasters. Then to Iceland and despite the prominent signage, an elderly couple happily going round the wrong way ....

Hope Pepper's OK, Kaz
Where does you fish man come from, Crommers, Grimsby? We used to have French onion sellers on bicycles come round back when we previously lived in Somerset; apparently they had secured a large warehouse in Poole by the docks and operated out of that!

Take care all.

Thanks for asking :) She's had a minor recurrence of the previous FCE - fibrocartaginous embolism - (like a spinal stroke) but with more physio should be ok, like last time. She is also now fully blind in one eye ( ) due to the cataract she's had for a while, but at almost 12 she's too old to safely operate. She's home and resting.

God afternoo everybody.
It was cloudy when I walked for the paper this morning. They have now disappeared and it is now lovely and sunny.
Went to Asda last night after dinner. Walked staright in. Wanted Schwepes Peppermint Cordial. Couldn't find any and staff were also unable to locate it.
So this morning tried a local wholesale supplier which saud they had some on their web site. When I phoned they saidthey had no stock and didn't know when they would get a new supply.
So phoned Coca-Cola/Schweppes who said they have temporarily stopped production of this product. It will start when the lockdown finishes and things get back to normal,
Have just been pottering, no sunbathing

Os, the sign on his van does say Grimsby fish and his accent isn't local.

Hi all - been for a long walk this morning as it was so nice but not too hot - did almost 7 miles so not too shabby :D

Been feeling a bit low this week as I think we'll be soon returning to work, our PPE has arrived and I got a shock this morning when I saw just how much there was! Liz, one of our staff, posted a pic on FB 'modelling' it...and what with the new changes to dispensing and possibly moving into our new premises, it's all coming back too fast!

Other than that I have just been pottering about, sitting in the garden and enjoying the good weather :)

This morning I was awoken at 4.30 by a very loud noise, it sounded like the police helicopter....apparently a little girl had gone missing and they were searching for her  She was found, thank goodness!! What a fright for all involved!!

Sorry to hear about Pepper - I had no idea she was 12!! I hope she is feeling okish, Kaz xx

She seems fine in herself this evening Gal, thanks :) Yes, turning 12 this summer - crazy, eh? We just have to play it by ear with her, as if her back legs were to go completely, well....... :? :(

Gosh your PPE situation does sound a bit daunting :? I hope it will be ok (((x)))
