Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 11 Aug 2024, 04:35

Good morning.

Back up to 40° in Donland for a couple of days so I'm happy I'm here till Wednesday.

Going in to town this morning to pick up a Boots order for Don and get a few goodies from M&S to take home. :D

Out to The Doc's tonight for a few beers and we'll order in some food when we get back home. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Warm, but slightly cooler today and thankfully, at night. Was rather warm last night.

Just for a change, a little lie-in. We were out rather late last night, very good curry night and the most amazing home made dips.

So a lazy day, a little cloudy,

Stir fry, I think, for dinner and a long, lazy swim and float :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning.
A nice sunny one too.
Ally, don't take the sun with you when you go back to Donland!
I'll have a sit in the garden this afternoon Cruiser. Jan, we are having a roast Sunday dinner.
We were going to go out to the Iris in Wakefield, which does nice food. But it turns out that today is "Wakefield Pride" and that there will be a rolling program of closed roads from 10am - 2pm; so we've cancelled, can't be doing with the faff.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, it should be sunny but mist keeps drifting in from the sea, and at the moment the sun doesn’t seem to be burning it off.

Well, last night turned out to be a bit different than usual. Recently, I’ve been having intermittent episodes of chest pain, but the last couple of days, I had one Friday evening, during Friday night and again yesterday evening while sitting watching tv. I didn’t think I could handle the stress of another episode, so around 10pm we headed off to A&E by taxi. Of course in the way of these things, it had eased off by the time I got there. However, I was fully checked out, ECG, bloods and chest X-ray all clear to my great relief. The doctor felt it is something digestive or muscle related, will send all results to my doc and felt no need to refer me to a cardiologist. We were very fortunate, A&E was very quiet (unusually for a Saturday night) but it all takes time, and we didn’t get to bed until 4.45am, so we are pretty tired as you can imagine. I had brought a book and Edward had a book on his phone to listen to. I felt a bit of a fraud, but the doctor said that when you are over 70 ( ) these sort of things should always be checked out.

So today will probably involve snoozing in the chair and early to bed!

Afternoon everyone :)

Osc, very sensible to get checked - glad all is well ((((x))))

It's very sunny here again. We had breakfast outside Corretto's, which is very pleasant in such nice weather. Then walked Fraggle round the main dock basin, which is almost all in deep shade from the converted warehouse buildings, so not too warm for him. Round to D's after that, and we've just got home. I'm cooking some salmon in the airfryer, for a salad later, but otherwise looking forward to a quiet afternoon :)

Love to all xxx
