So those wastes of space are going to get an 11 percent pay rise.Virtually every MP has his or her relatives supposedly working him or her..Doress's daughter lives up north she on the other hand lives in Bedfordshire, she claims her off springs are her secretaries, thousands claimed in expenses, and if the reporter exposed her she ranted she would "Nail his balls to the floor"
There are Maybe a picking who are not fiddling their expenses . Damned bunch of rogues. Get my vote? "guess my answer

The project to create a compliant population is almost complete. An inclusive society has been fractured into "communities" and smaller groups who care only for themselves. We are the most watched-over population in the world with CCTV, Internet monitoring, databases for anything and everything while we carry our "electronic tag" mobile phones. And we have laws flying under the banner of anti-terrorism being used against the general population for the most mundane of reasons.

Some of the things we have seen over the past few years would, in times past, have brought millions onto the streets in protest - they still would in some countries. An 11% increase for MPs would be the straw to break the camel's back.

What is wrong with the people of this country Frank, I believe (correct me if I am wrong ) We the indigenous are now the minority in Britain, do you think the remaining Brits have simply given up? they seem to have lost the will to live!

A bit of a misconception Kate, however, London comes close and that might be where you are thinking of. Only 45% of its inhabitants are white British whereas nearly 37% are coloured migrants, the remaining 18% are a mix of black British and white migrants. Colour shouldn't, and probably doesn't, have much effect on how people think about politics, but nationality status must.

London matters because it is the capital, and capitals are usually the focal point for protests. But if half the capital is not bothered, due to its nationality status, and fears; and many of the British are not bothered because of their political ideas, fears and compliance, then getting a protest movement going becomes more difficult. And if a protest movement got going in one of the UK's larger cities it would not get the media coverage of one in London....

So, instead of getting protest movements with aims and ambitions we get riots, and as everyone agrees, riots are bad. But riots are good for government because they are easier to put down.

I have just seen a debate on the BBC where the claim was that unless MPs get this rise it will close the door to everyone except the independently wealthy. What rubbish! This is typical of the fallacies promoted by the political elite.

I would happily be an MP on £65k a year, plus expenses. It might not make me rich but I would be more than comfortable. I would go further and prevent MPs from having directorships and board positions, and to work most of their time as an MP. You know what, that would stop the independently wealthy from using Westminster to their own ends. Some of them might then work for their constituents rather than their paymasters.

This makes me furious, this not only applies to MP's Frank we learn that the Chief Executive of The shocking failed Colchester hospital is in the news raking in a fortune whilst seriously neglecting his public duties in the NHS with his involvement in another company he set up.
The 65k is the start of what these wastes of space get, the secretarial duties, (family) electric, heating, second homes, gardening,furnishings,travel!
Along with their other directorships and jobs.
